One Way Storm 1 KIT – 100% HM Carbon race poles built to your exact length

One Way Storm 1 KIT is an exceptionally light and stiff racing pole kit for demanding cross-country skiers. The kit includes the carbon shafts, MRS grips, MRS WC straps and Exchange Basket M baskets with tips – the components required to build one complete pair of poles.

The major advantage of the KIT version is the ability to build the poles to your exact preferred length. The shafts are cut before the grips are installed, so there is no need to compromise between standard 2.5 cm pole-length increments.

The extremely light and stiff 100% HM Carbon shaft provides very low swing weight and direct power transfer for both double poling and skating.

The performance-oriented MRS WC Strap and MRS Grip provide excellent control and an efficient connection between the skier and the pole.

One race pole for snow and roller skiing

Storm 1 features One Way's Exchange Basket System, allowing the basket to be changed quickly without tools.

For winter skiing, use the included Exchange Basket M. For roller skiing, it can be replaced with the separately available One Way Exchange Basket Roller (asphalt).

This allows the same premium Storm 1 pole to be used throughout the year – snow baskets in winter and asphalt tips for summer roller-ski training.

The key benefit of a pole kit is getting the pole length exactly right. If 156 cm is your ideal length, there is no need to compromise between standard 155 and 157.5 cm poles.

The shaft is shortened from the grip end before the grip is installed. Measure carefully before cutting – once a carbon shaft has been shortened, it cannot be made longer again.

For roller skiing, simply replace the snow basket with a separately available Exchange Basket Roller asphalt tip. Check roller-ski tips regularly, as asphalt gradually rounds the carbide point and reduces grip.
