The advantage of BOA® is not simply being able to tighten the boot as much as possible. Its real benefit is the ability to fine-tune different areas of the foot independently.

Start by adjusting the heel area so that the heel remains securely locked in place. Then fine-tune the forefoot until the boot feels snug without restricting circulation or creating excessive pressure.

In a skate boot, secure heel hold and good ankle support directly affect ski control and power transfer. An oversized boot cannot be made to fit correctly simply by tightening the BOA system harder.

Race Fit is intentionally close and performance-oriented. Your toes can sit close to the front of the boot, but they should still have some freedom of movement and there should be no distinct pressure points.
