Fischer Speedmax 9 Skiathlon RL BOA is a high-end carbon race boot developed specifically for skiathlon and double poling competition.

It combines the forefoot mobility required for classic skiing with the stability and power transfer of a highly supportive race boot, making it particularly attractive for long-distance skiers and athletes focused on double poling.

The medium-flex sole allows more natural ankle and forefoot movement than a pure skating boot, while the Integral Carbon Chassis and supportive cuff provide excellent torsional control.

2-Zone BOA® Li2 Fit System

The dual-zone BOA system allows the heel and forefoot to be adjusted independently.

This makes it possible to secure the heel firmly while keeping the forefoot slightly more relaxed – particularly useful during long-distance races.

Fischer classifies the boot as Race Fit, so it is not a true wide-last boot. However, the independently adjustable forefoot can give it a slightly more accommodating feel than the tightest pure skating race boots.

For long-distance double poling, the Skiathlon version provides an excellent balance between mobility and stability.

Use the BOA system to lock the heel securely, but avoid overtightening the forefoot. Leaving a little room around the forefoot can improve comfort and circulation during long races.
