Swix Triac Vest M is a men’s lightweight ski vest that adds chest warmth and leaves the arms free for poling. It suits layering when the torso needs more insulation but the sleeves do not.

The front features 60 g/m² PrimaLoft® Gold Cross Core™ insulation for targeted warmth. Stretch back and side panels with a brushed inner surface follow skiing movements, while the mesh lining supports ventilation.

An adjustable hem and elastic-bound armholes fine-tune the fit. A zipped rear pocket holds small essentials.

• Extra warmth without another sleeve: a vest is an alternative to an additional long-sleeved midlayer when the chest feels cold but the arms need less coverage. Over a technical long-sleeved top it can serve as the outer layer, conditions permitting.
• For race warm-ups: add torso warmth before the start or harder work sets. If you plan to remove it for the effort, wear it outermost so the rest of the outfit need not be changed.
• Heat Wool or a technical base layer? Heat Wool LS M gives a warmer combination for easy skiing. For brisk training I would try a lighter synthetic top. Without a jacket, its sleeves alone must provide the protection your arms need.
• With Triac Windstopper Jacket M: the combination can work for easy skiing in freezing conditions and warm-ups. Hard training may call for fewer layers.
